Local churches have a packed lineup of day camps and VBS programs this summer. Here’s what’s coming up:

Emerald Crossing VBS – Carbon Community Baptist
Dates/Time: June 8-12, 5:00-8:00 PM
Ages: Going into K-6th grade

Notes: Dinner served.

Kids Day Camp – First Baptist Church of Gorman
Dates/Time: June 22-25, 8:20 AM-2:30 PM
Ages: 1st-3rd grade
Cost: $60 per kid
Notes: Bring your own lunch. Group heads to Valley Grove Baptist in Stephenville each day.

BUILD VBS – FBC Eastland
Dates/Time: June 22-25, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Ages: Pre-K through 6th grade
Cost: Free
Location: 405 S. Seaman St., Eastland
Notes: Buses available for Eastland and Olden.

Williamson Eastland Townhall

Mah-Jongg Group

Cause for Paws – 1st Annual Event
The first Cause for Paws event is a weekend supporting animals in need.

What to expect:

Unique street vendors
Local food trucks
Adoptable animals looking for their forever homes
Car Show on June 13, featuring classic, custom, and one-of-a-kind vehicles

Come shop, eat, adopt, and celebrate community, all for a great cause supporting your local animal shelter.

Saturday, June 13

Bake Sale for RMS Cheer
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: H & R Feed Store, 111 E Main St, Ranger
Ranger Middle School cheerleaders are raising support with homemade baked goods.

Sunday, June 14

Eastland Farmer’s Market
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: 900 E Main St, Eastland (next to Maverick Stadium)
Home-grown foods, handcrafted items, and food vendors, weather permitting.
