The Eastland City Commission is scheduled to hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. CDT Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Eastland City Hall, 113 E. Commerce Street.
The posted agenda includes discussion and possible action on approval of an EEDI property purchase, the Eastland County Cooperative Dispatch Contract, and the purchase of wildfire mitigation equipment using Texas General Land Office funds.
Commissioners are also scheduled to consider retaining Roberts & McGee CPA PLLC for the annual audit, approving 2025–2026 budget amendments, and Resolution 2026-17 concerning vehicle financing through Government Capital Corporation. Bulk water sales are also listed for discussion.
The agenda lists separate executive-session discussions of personnel matters involving the police chief and city manager under Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code. It provides for the commission to reconvene in open session and take possible action, if necessary. The notice does not announce a personnel decision.
Other business includes approval of prior meeting minutes, the financial report, and briefings or reports from the city manager, code compliance, police department, fire chief and municipal court.
