The Alliance Gazette sent an email to County Judge David Hullum on the morning of October 16, 2026 after a tip came in that city officials had been invited to the court house to discuss the potential of a data center. Jett Whittington inquired if Judge Hullum had a statement on the concerns being raised in the community.

Hullum responded:

Jett,

I’ll try and get back with you Monday after court. There was a meeting today with community leaders with the intent for them to proactively prepare in the event one came in. The proposed “developer” offered to come at the last minute to address the community leaders. Again, no formal agreement has been reached. The “developer” indicated it was not 100%. I don’t quite understand the concerns at this stage of the game. Once a formal proposal is presented, we will welcome public input.

Judge Hullum

Whittington confirmed that his response could be shared. Hullum also added that both him and the city officials cannot act without approval from their respective commissions.

The Alliance Gazette will continue to bring updates as they come available.
